Tea Reed
Teaches: Beg/Int Ballet
Teagan Reed (she/her) is from St. Petersburg, Florida and started out in Scottish Highland dance at age 12. Tea went on to be trained in ballet and modern at the Patricia Ann Dance Studio and the Pinellas County Center for the Arts, and attend The School at Jacob’s Pillow, the O.B.O.C Countertechnique Intensive, the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, and the Hubbard Street’s Professional Program. Tea now lives in downtown Cleveland and dances for Groundworks DanceTheater. Tea has been a freelance artist with the A.R.T. at Harvard University, Adam Weinert & Company, Fukudance, Dance in the Parks Chicago, and Aerial Dance Chicago. In 2021, Tea founded the inaugural pro.noun dance festival to help queer dance artists gather and create during the global pandemic as well as offering Ballet Naked, an iterative performance and pedagogy movement project. Tea has also been a guest artist at Ballet22 and Walnut Hill School for the Arts, as well as a guest teacher, choreographer, and film maker at Mass Motion Dance, New England Youth Dance Exchange, HAVEN Sanctuary for Dance, Dance in the Parks Chicago, Chicago Movement Collective, and Cleveland State University.
